If you are trying to set up an FTP server with a static IP, please follow these instructions:
1. To setup an email server using a static IP addresses provided by Optimum Online, you will first need to access the Optimum Online Site Control panel.
2. Once you are at the control panel, CLICK on Domain Name, and select the hyperlink for DNS Manager.

4. To setup your own FTP server that will go to a server that is connected to one of your static IP addresses, and NOT affect your web site for your domain, you will want to locate the following record:
And replace the value in the TARGET field with the static IP address of your FTP server. The new line should appear as:
*Note* Please make sure to click on the UPDATE button after making the change to the TARGET field in order for your changes to be submitted to the DNS servers.
5. Once the above changes are made, please allow 4-6 hours for the changes take affect and for you to be able to connect to your FTP server via the address ftp.domain.com.
